Torcon 3 - 2

The images here are reduced size and clarity thumbnails so as to allow the page to load quickly. To see a full version of any image, just click on it. Please note that my digital camera creates very large picture files.

This is the room in which Torcon 3 wanted to hold the Business Meeting - it seats about 100.

Here we all are in the much larger Ontario Room, which Kevin and Pat McMurray secured for us.

Four wise monkeys: the Business meeting head table. From the left: Clint Budd (Timekeeper), Don Eastlake (Parliamentarian); Kevin Standlee (Chairman), Pat McMurray (Secretary).

Kevin gets a fit of giggles during debate on the Time Travel Worldcon. Pat reaches for the water jug in case of spontaneous combustion. Who says business meetings can't be fun?

The Space Cadets unveil the official convention banner.

Margene Bahm announces that Kansas City will bid again in 2033 and introduces the new bid chair.

Bobbie DuFault introduces CascadiaCon, the 2005 NASFiC in Seattle.

This painting in the Ontario Room illustrates a scene from the 1703 Worldcon Business Meeting. The site selection administrator reads the results while the chairs of the Boston and Huron bids listen nervously. (From an idea by Pat McMurray.)
